As the show begins we see old black and white footage from the golden age of wrestling, possibly Lou Thez

"ANDREEE THE GIAAANT.." roars Vince McMahon back in his 80's announcer role as we see the legendary giant

We see Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Iron Sheik and of course Hulk Hogan

Bret Hart throws out his arms as Shawn Michaels cradles the WWE Championship, SA standing atop the Hell in a Cell cage and the Undertaker bowing to the urn

"Reeeest in pea..." the Undertaker begins but doesn't get to finish as we hear JR say

"My God what a ma.." Ross is cut off by the Rock

"HIF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL"

"You're Fiiiiiiired"

the glass shatters CRAAAASH

"GIMME A HELL YEAH" roars Stone Cold as JR warns

"Its not over..." and ends on

"THE WORLD IS WATCHING..." as images of Nightmare, Nathan James, Undertaker, Randy Orton and more fuse together until the screen blacks out, the WWE logo and words "World Wrestling Entertainment" appearing on screen before we fade into the Hammerstein Ballroom.

'EE CEE DUB, EE CEE DUB, EE CEE DUB' is the chant from the rabid crowd as the camera heads straight into the ring, where we find ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis stood, mic in hand, grinning from ear to ear.

'LADIES AND GENTLEMEN......PLEASE WELCOME......THE VOICE OF EXTREME CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING......THE ONE AND ONLY......JOEEEYYYY STYYYLLEEESSSS' he screams, the 'E-C-DUB' chant merging into a huge pop as 'This Is Extreme' hits, the camera angle switching to one positioned behind the smoke that's formed in the narrow entrance way, Styles soon appearing from amongst it with a smile, and then a raised clenched fist, the fans either side leaning over the guard rail to slap Styles' hand as he makes his way to the ring, the huge pop still audible. Styles climbs the steps before pausing and looking out at the crowd, a 'Wow' crossing his lips before he enters the ring, shaking hands with DeAngelis and taking his mic as the music fades out.

'JO-EY STY-LES........JO-EY STY-LES........JO-EY STY-LES' is the new chant from the fans, Styles smiling again before raising the mic to his lips.

'OH MYY GAAAAADDDDDD' he screams, massive pop from the fans again, Styles looking relieved to be back here.

'Lemme just say...who'd have thought......after nearly a year.....that ECW would be back on television?' he asks, shaking his head in amazement.

'It's so great to be back, I wanna thank all of you for coming out tonight, I wanna thank everyone in the back for making this happen, and I wanna say that after Team ECW wins at WrestleMania 24....WE'RE GONNA BE BACK FOR GOOD!' he states, another huge pop from the crowd, another 'EE CEE DUB' chant breaking out. Styles waits for it to die down slightly before speaking again.

'But that's not why I'm here tonight....I'm here to call the matches.....and I can't do that on my own....' he begins, the crowds' volume rising again.

'Even though I did it all the time in the nineties' he adds with a wink, another pop.

'So ladies and gentlemen......please welcome my co-commentator for this evening......' Styles pauses again.

'The Human Suplex Machine......TAAAAZZZZZZ' massive pop this time as 'Survive' hits, the camera angle switching to one from behind the smoke, catching Tazz striding out in his suit and orange sunglasses.

'TAZZ IS GONNA KILL YA' comes the chant from the crowd as he makes his way down the aisle, greeting as many fans as possible, pointing out a 'JBL fears Tazz' sign in the process with a chuckle before climbing the steps to the ring and entering, shaking hands with Styles who hands him the microphone this time, 'Survive' fading, but the buzz from the crowd remaining.

'Wow....just...wow, man, I don't know what ta say' laughs Tazz, Styles heard as saying 'that's a first' with a laugh as well.

'I gotta echo Joe's thoughts, I gotta say thanks to all you guys for coming out here tonight....I gotta say that it's damn sure good to be back here in New York City...' he goes, huge pop of course.

'An' I sure as hell gotta say that I hope Team ECW kicks Team WWE's ass at WrestleMania' he laughs, which brings another big pop.

'So er....basically sit back....relax and er....enjoy the show' he ends, handing the mic back to Styles.

'A man of few words huh?' he grins, Tazz sheepishly shaking his head.

'Well without further ado.....New York City....THIS.......IS......EXTREEEMMMMEEE' screams Styles, handing the mic back to our ring announcer before throwing up his hands, a further huge pop from this jakked crowd as we head away to our opening video....
