Breaking news from WWE and various backstage sources is that the Undertaker suffered a broken hand after a semi-botched FU from John Cena at SummerSlam during the Inaugural Brawl. Undertaker attended a local medical facility after the PPV and had the hand dressed. He's not expected to miss any ring time and will work this Mondays Raw with the injury (Various sources)
WWE Officials are said to be impressed with the enthusiasm of AKM backstage and rewarded him with a match at SummerSlam, an unusual step for a one month WWE rookie. Some of the other Stars backstage are not as impressed however, feeling that AKM needs to pay some dues, one of these said to be Nathan James (PWInsider)
Assassin is said to have also impressed officials including crucially Vince McMahon who's started to take to the character, going as far as to suggest, his new theme song (Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams). Expect a good push for the Australian starting on Monday (PWTorch)
Michael Shane is said to be keen to return to the more "rock" flavored image he debuted with in WWE and held in the Indies as opposed to the hip-hop image he's projected for the past few years. Maybe somewhat surprisingly Shane sported a Nu-Metal image on his debut with Shawn Michaels TWA in 2000 and later a Punk image in ROH. (PWTorch)
An RVD lookalike backstage at SummerSlam cause chaos for almost an hour before being discovered as a rib by Van Dam by WWE Road Agent Tommy Dreamer. The two RVD's are said to have not met. (WrestleZone.com)
Koji Miyamoto is said to be unsure what his move to SmackDown will accomplish as well as not being best pleased at being in a tag team with Koua Vang. A big star in NJPW, Koji may look to cut his losses and return to Japan if things don't improve on the blue brand (Wrestling Observer Radio)
Expect Titan to work an angle with Maria on his debut and possibly work in some capacity with Santino Marella for his first feud back. While the feud is unconfirmed, the Maria angle is almost a lock (Figure Four Weekly)
Early No Mercy plans suggest that Jeff Hardy and Primal will have a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship, possibly in the only gimmick match proposed for the card - a pole match. WWE are keen to cut down on the big stipulation matches after the recent none sanctioned match, elimination chamber and hell in a cell. (Wrestling Observer Newsletter)
