Week Beginning January 12, 2003

The ongoing dispute with WWWF has finally been settled out of court. WWE have retaken their 50percent stake in the company with other contractual clauses in place. WWWF is to begin broadcasting again soon. Hardcore company EHW are likewise recruting for talent as compertition hots up in the indys (January 12, 2003)

The cost of Armageddon has been a heavy one for WWE both in terms of money and talent. The immense cell structure for wargames cost around $750,000 a record for a single match. Triple H suffered a broken ankle at the hands of Kurt Angle in his tag title challange and will be out some time, Bret Hart lost a huge ammount of blood but has been cleared to fight at RAW. Shawn Michaels was carried from wargames with a back problem but suprisingly both Dr.S and Chris Benoit were said to be only bruised after their bump of the cell. There is no word on The Undertakers condition (January 12, 2003)

Sunday night heat will return to cable with a bang by holding the tournament for the vacent WWE European title this Sunday at The World in New York (January 13, 2003)
 
The Suppz negotiations have met a brick wall and his future is unknown at this time (January 13, 2003)

The Rock is to be traded to SmackDOWN! this week at the request of the SmackDOWN! writing team. Rumours that either Dr.S or Rey Mysterio will be headed the other way are unconfirmed (January 13, 2003)

Management are said to be highly impressed with Brock Lesnar of late with many saying hes like a new man (January 13, 2003)

Shane McMahon made a big impact at Armageddon and Vince is expected to return within the month, no angles have yet been revealed but as many came to a close at Armageddon expect something new (January 13, 2003)

The poster for this years Royal Rumble has been released and features The Undertaker and Kane staring each other down amidst flames (January 13, 2003)

Shawn Michaels will take two months off TV after The Royal Rumble but will definatly work Wrestlemania X-9. HBK will be both filming a small role in a new movie and recovering from a slight back problem. (January 13, 2003)

WWE is expected to broadcast a special show to celebrate their 1 year aniversary and more details are to be revealed in the coming days (January 13, 2003)

With the reintroduction of Vince McMahon to WWE TV in the coming weeks it is believed Bischoff will either have his screen time cut to compensate for McMahon or be moved to a backstage writing role (January 13, 2003)
