The World Heavyweight Championship was brought back to RAW by then-General Manager Eric Bischoff after the brand split. Bischoff awarded the Championship to Hulk Hogan. Other holders of this prestigious Championship include Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Steve Austin and more.

(1) Shawn Michaels won the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania X-8 but was stripped of the then WWF Championship soon after leaving him with the World Heavyweight Championship, then known as the ECW Heavyweight Championship

(2) Nitro reunified the World Heavyweight Championship with the then WWF Championship by defeating Kane at Backlash 2002 on 04/26/02

(3) After Undisputed Champion Cactus Jack became exclusive to SmackDown!, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff reinstated the World Heavyweight Championship as a RAW exclusive and gave it to Hulk Hogan

(4) Shawn Michaels was injured by Hunter in the Royal Rumble match and had to forfit the title the next RAW

(5) Due to Shawn Michaels injury at the 2003 Royal Rumble he was forced to give up the title, he gave it to Hulk Hogan at RAW

(6) This was a triple threat match also featuring Steve Austin

(7) The bell was rung when SA had Austin in The Sharpshooter, Austin hadnt submitted but SA was declared champion

(8) Elimination Chamber match also featuring Triple H, Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Batista

(9) Triple threat match also including Shawn Michaels. The title was unified with the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble 2005 when Hogan defeated WWE Champion Nightmare

(10) this was for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship which had been re-instated upon the return of the brand. The title was declared retired on 11/01/05

(11) Title reinstated upon the return of SmackDown in the summer of 2008, after a non contest between Nightmare and teh Graet Khali at Night of Champions this Elimination Chamber was made for SummerSlam.

(12) the WWE Champion John Cena defeated the World Heavyweight Champion Doomsday to unify the titles

(13) Belt reinstated by Vince McMahon
