Mav started out in the business as a Cruiserweight and was often overlooked as a mere opening-card act. Through his perseverence and determination to succeed he won over the fans, electrified by his high flying antics as part of Team Xtreme and later his mat based skills as well. After impressing the fans and management alike, Mav went on to both be a part of the Nation of Domination and win the Intercontinental Championship on two occasions along the way, redefining the role of the Cruiserweight.
