When Sphere defected from FWC to WWE in mid-2002, may saw it as a defining moment of the 2nd Monday Night WArs, much like the defection of The Big Show had been in 1999 against WCW. FWC would be dead a few months later and having made the right choice, Dphere would go on to be a breakout star that year, creating and leading the Black Cauldron with Da Dawg Pound and later Tazz and winning the Intercontinental Championship.
