As the show begins we see old black and white footage from the golden age of wrestling, possibly Lou Thez

"Yes sir we promise you a great main event..." a voice says before we see more images of Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes and Dr.S

"ANDREEE THE GIAAANT.." roars Vince McMahon back in his 80s announcer role as we see the legendary giant

"WRESTLEMAAAAANIA"

We see Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Iron Sheik and of course Hulk Hogan

"HULKAMANIA IS RUNNIN WILD BROTHER"

Bret Hart throws out his arms as Shawn Michaels cradles the WWE Championship, SA standing atop the Hell in a Cell cage and the Undertaker bowing to the urn

"Reeeest in pea..." the Undertaker begins but doesnt get to finish as we hear JR say

"My God what a ma.." Ross is cut off by the Rock

"HIF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL"

"You're Fiiiiiiired"

the glass shatters CRAAAASH

"GIMME A HELL YEAH" roars Stone Cold as JR warns

"Its not over..." and ends on

"THE WORLD IS WATCHING..." as images of Nightmare, Nathan James, Undertaker, Randy Orton and more fuse together until the screen blacks out, the WWE logo and words "World Wrestling Entertainment" appearing on screen before totally fading away to blackness and then fading back into an image of Vince McMahon Snr, moving away to some of the icons of his era - Backlund, Sammartino, Blassie, giving way to those such as Hogan, The Iron Sheik and Andre The Giant

"WWE proudly honors the legends that have blazed a trail....." goes the voiceover man, the images changing to Silent Assassin pinning HBK at the Garden, Title held aloft, RVD thumb pointing atop the cage at WrestleMania X8 before flying

"Laid the foundation....."

We see UrbanWolf and Nightmare holding high the World Tag Team Titles, Sphere sending Chris Jericho flying off a ladder

"And set the standard for the Superstars of today...."

Pimp dances with his ho's, cane in hand and a huge grin, Suppz flying through the air with his Air Suppz move and Kane setting off the Turnbuckle pyro, WWE Championship over his shoulder

"Tonight.... we celebrate the class of 2007....."

Stone Cold Steve Austin holds aloft double digits, The Outsiders are seen walking the aisle in black and white, The Doc doing his dance and Batista shaking the ropes before turning and putting his thumbs down, another victim about to be squashed

"Stone Cold Steve Austin....."

Austin walks through the shattered glass at WrestleMania 13, blood pouring down his face as he refuses to submit, battling with Kane on top of Hell in a Cell

"Dr.S"

Docs hand is raised as the 2003 Royal Rumble winner, dancing to his original Beatles theme and giving a "HAVE MERCY!!!" before he finally lifts the WWE Championship

"The Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall"

Nash and Hall, in their Diesel and Razor Ramon personas squash opponent after opponent, drilling Blizzard, Matt Hardy, spraying "nWo" on Ric Flairs back and then seen with Hogan, X-Pac, Michaels and Bischoff at WrestleMania XX - the nWo reformed

"Batista"

Tista stands with Triple H, Randy Orton and Ric Flair, staring down the nWo as part of Evolution, Powerbombing Goldberg and finally Nightmare for the WWE Championship

"Welcome to the 2007 Hall of Fame induction ceremony" finishes the voiceover man as we see the black and white image of the immortal Freddie Blassie open a huge pair of doors, white light streaming in and finally blocking out the picture before the Hall of Fame logo pops up and we head into the packed Fox Theater in Detroit Michigan, the crowd rising and applauding as we're underway, the camera moving along the front row to show the smartly attired guests - Vince and Linda McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, Shane McMahon and his wife Marissa, even further along we see Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Tazz, Michael Cole and the Superstars - everybody from Shawn Michaels to Min Sing, Adult Viewing, MNM, Ric Flair, even the Iron Sheik (either side of Butch and Romeo for the record), the giant curtains drawing back on stage to reveal the impressive set, big screen and podium, Todd Grisham, in a Tux, stood behind it

"Ladies and gentlemen..... The Game, Triple H" he says simply, but thats all that needed as the speakers burst to life and Break It Down hits

"ARE YOU READY?" asks the music, Triple H rising from the front row and stepping onto stage, heading for the podium as the fans section chants "DX, DX, DX"

"You think you can tell us what to do? you think you can tell us what to wear? you think that you're better? ...well you better get ready to bow to the masters..... BREAK IT DOWN!!" continues the music, Helmsley throwing up an "X" over his head in response to the crowd, waiting a few moments as his music cuts for the crowd to quieten before speaking, leaning into the podium mic

"The first question i'm sure everybody is asking, is just why is Triple H inducting Dr.S here tonight..." goes The Game

"Well quite frankly, i'm the one who was willing to do it...."

Theres a sizable laugh from the WWE Superstars

"In fact, i only agreed because i thought it was Dude Love" he smiles as the crowd pop again

"But in all seriousness, Dr.S was one of the leading names in the business for so many years, he was a star where ever he went and i'm gunna be honest - he was no Triple H in the physique department thats for sure... but he had a passion for the business, he was a hell of a promo, he could get on that mic and turn a match or feud with just a few words. Hell, this guy could have killed JFK and a few words on that stick and America would love him again" laughs the Game

"He had his greatest success on SmackDown and with Nightmare and The Undertaker, i think you could call him one of the key components of that show back in its 2003 run. Doc came out here, gave what he had for the fans and the company and i wish that were true of everybody in this room tonight. In the annals of sports entertainment, Doc WILL go down as one of the biggest names in the business...." Helmsleys fades away as we head into the video package.....

We see old footage from the Carolinas, Dr.S hitting a jab at Ric Flair, long haired and in his prime, beating Terry Funk and squaring up to Dusty Rhodes

"Daddy... back then there was two names, two superstars that above all over carried a great personality, got the crowd on their side and became beloved by the fans, one man was yours truly Dusty Rhodes, the American Dweam... the other was Dr.S, the so called fun lovin hippie eef you weeeeell" goes Dusty in voice over, the images changing to one of Doc beat down by the original Four Horsemen

"Doc was something else, you know a guy like Flair could go an hour, he couldn't go twenty but the fans didn't care, he was out of shape, unclean living, but the fans loved the guy, he went out there and was having fun, laid back and cool" claims Steamboat, The Doc seen in pictures with John Lennon, unclear whether they're genuine of not as his famous "She Loves Me" variation on the Beatles song is heard in the background, the Doc holding aloft the WWW Championship

"He loves that battered belt, i swear, he eats off it, sleeps with it, i think he even wipes his ass with it" laughs Triple H, Doc, in tie dyed lab coat bounding down the aisle, sirens wailing as we see its FWCs famous Paramedic X

"Paramedic X were the greatest tag team who ever lived" claims Rhyno

"Paramedic X sucked, they nearly killed his career" counters Vince McMahon as Doc finally debuts in WWE, hitting Doctors Orders on Sphere, Suppz, Nemesis, Hunter and others of the era, doing his famous dance and screeching "OHHHHHHHH HAVE MERCY"

"He's a great, great face, the kids love him, the women want him and the men..... well they don't wanna be him, but they like his attitude" claims Eric Bischoff as Doc heads to his spiritual home on SmackDown, DDTing Tommy Dreamer, exchanging rights with Nightmare and the Undertaker and holding aloft the WWE Intercontinental Championship and winning the Royal Rumble, going on to WrestleMania XIX, winning his first WWE Championship soon afterward

"Doc was an amazing promo, he could hold the whole audience on every word and he had some great matches, some great feuds and winning the WWE Championship in his later years, he made history. The crowd respected his legacy and his history, sure he was controversial backstage, who wasn't? Doc left a hell of a legacy" goes Jesse Ventura, former head writer of SmackDown as we see images of Doc/HBK at the 2005 Royal Rumble, his last great match before we fade back to the ceremony.....

"Ladies and gentlemen..... DR.S" cries Trips, the crowd popping as the Beatles hits

"SHE LOVES YOU... YEAH YEAH YEAH.... SHE LOVES YOU YEAH YEAH YEAH YEEEEEEEAH...."

The fans pop again as Doc heads onto stage in a tie dyed tuxedo, the Superstars applauding, others amused by his appearance as the middle aged hippie strolls to the podium, taking his plaque from Helmsley

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAVE MERCY" he cries, the crowd popping again as he stares at the plaque

"You know... to be here tonight is a great honor, a great privilege... its been a long time since the Doc was in front of a crowd like this and you never lose that buzz daddy, that feeling of adrenaline that you get from performing night after night" he goes

"Maybe its time Dr.S made a comeback" he adds with a little mischievous grin, the camera catching the look on Shane McMahon and Tommy Dreamers faces all too well

"You know, love me or hate me, i gave what i had for this company. Whether you like what is did or hated it, i did it all to keep WWE great. I never sold out, never quit, never sulked when things didn't go my way. I gave what i had backstage and in that ring and im proud to say i was WWE Champion, i was one of the greats and i hope that I'll be remembered for being entertaining as hell and OHHHHHH DADDY.... bringing a little peace and love" he grins before holding the plaque aloft and thanking the fans, another Dr.S chant going up as the crowd cheer and applaud, the Beatles filling the air as we fade to the Hall of Fame logo....
