"We're live at the Fox Theater in Detroit Michigan on the eve of WrestleMania 23... This is the WWE 2007 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony" Todd Grisham informs us as we get a shot outside, the streets dark and the neon signs of the theater light up our screen before we return inside to the stage
"And ladies and gentlemen would you please welcome at this time the Commissioner of WWE.... THE HEARTBREAK KID SHAWN MICHAELS"
"OH, OH, OH SHAWN....." begins the music, HBK standing from the front row and heading for the stage
"I THINK IM CUTE... I KNOW IM SEXY... I GOT THE LOOKS, THAT DRIVE THE GIRLS WILD... I GOT THE MOVES, THAT REALLY MOVE EM... I SEND CHILLS.. UP AND DOWN THEIR SPINE - IM JUST A SEXY BOY...." blares the music, HBK going as far as to take up his pose before the music cuts abruptly, the crowd popping as HBK looks around guiltily
"No pyro?" he asks of Todd who just shakes his head
"Not in here" deadpans Grisham as HBK approaches the podium and nods
"Y'Know... THATs the kinda thinking the Heartbreak Kid can never think of... i mean we wouldn't wanna set the building on fire would we...?. i mean WHO'D be stupid enough to do something like that?!" he grins to a pop from the Superstars, a small "TNA" chant breaking out amongst a few of the more ruckus fans
"Well... eh... Todd..." goes Shawn nervously "Where my plaque?"
Another pop as Todd leans in, whispering something to HBK whos face falls
"Its not... its not me?" he asks with a sad voice
"Scott and Big Kev? ....but they tried to put us out of business" he exclaims in mock outrage as Todd continues
"Down South in that company we can't mention" he adds, turning to the camera and giving a Mick Foley style thumbs up to a mixed response, a WCW Sucks chant starting as Michaels turns back to the podium
"Y'Know, sometimes i wonder just what the hell Vince McMahon is thinking but Y'Know... then i think back to the old days, days when Nash and Hall were the most respected and feared team in the business, when the nWo ruled every company around. Big Kev was more than a generic big man, he had charisma off the chart...."
"LETS GET THE BEERS IN" comes a cry from the crowd, the camera showing Michael Shane is the culprit once more
"Your ejaculations are becoming a yearly event" goes HBK to a roar from most present, even Shane who throws up a Kliq sign, Shawn responding with a crotch chop and a mini bow
"Thank you all, the Heartbreak Kid is here all week and is available for weddings, bah mitzvahs and burials of Silent Assassin.... but lets take a look... at the Outsiders... roll the footage"
HBK does the nWo point to the big screen as we fade into the recap, a black and white version of the HOF logo appearing on screen before we see the duo as Diesel and Razor Ramon, Razor doing his stamping taunt and standing atop a ladder
"Say hello.... to the bad guy" he grins, flicking his toothpick at the camera, Diesel thrusting his arm aloft as pyro explodes overhead, Jacknifing Bob Backlund at the Garden and doing the old Kliq highfive with Shawn Michaels
"Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were two of a kind, between them they had everything you could ask for in the business. If they'd stayed with the WWF they may have been more successful in the long run but their legacy and an entire company was built on them and the nWo with WCW" claims Eric Bischoff as we see Hall coming through the crowd into the ring
"We are coming down here..." he claims, mic in hand "and we are taking over"
Nash and Hall wreak havoc, Powerbombing Bischoff off the stage, throwing Mysterio into the production truck and beating Ric Flair and the Horsemen senseless
"Y'Know, Scott and Big Kev are vastly underrated as a tag team, as far as im concerned only Nightmare and Urban Wolf come close, unlike a lot of teams, they actually were friends away from the screen and the camera, they were closer than brothers" claims X-Pac, having been roped in for an interview it seems
"Well, they mostly suck but hey, i married the bosses daughter, this is my call" laughs Triple H as we see the duo in FWC and then back in the WWE, spraying "nWo" on SAs back and turning on HBK at WrestleMania X8
"Scott and Kevin got into the Hall of Fame before HBK... THAT will never be lived down" goes Shawn Michaels in mock outage as we see them smash Austin, RVD, Nitro, Kane with chairs, cupping their hands to their ears with Hulk Hogan as we hear again from The Hulkster
"You know something dude, The Outsiders, Nash and Hall brother, when you talk about GREAT tag teams, this is who you're talking about. Three time the World Champions and massive part of the nWo dude, they were part of the new attitude in wrestling that made the business what it is today, they brought that down to WCW and Vince had to respond" claims Hogan as we see the nWo reformation at WrestleMania XX and the Wargames match from Raw, the last major appearance of the duo before we fade back into the theater, Michaels on the mic
"Ladies and Gentlemen, KEVIN NASH AND SCOTT HALL" he cries as the nWo theme again blares out, the picture switching to black and white as the crowd roar, Nash striding out followed by Hall, doing their old taunts as the head to the podium. The crowd pop again as The Bad Guy throws the toothpick at the camera and Big Sexy holds him arm aloft for Michaels to make the old school Kliq High Five as the music cuts
"Hunter... come on get up here" goes Nash, leaning into the mic with a grin, Triple H standing again and heading for the podium, embracing his friends before stepping back and standing next to HBK, giving the stage to the Outsiders
"DX and the nWo on the same stage.... somebody might think we're teasing something here" grins Big Sexy, Michaels and The Game furiously and almost mockingly shaking their heads, HBK insisting he's not even in DX
"Well before i get to the thank yous.... i have a both good and bad news.... firstly, our friend and yours - X-Pac, can't be here tonight"
The crowd pop, Hall grinning
"And the bad news?" he asks, Big Sexys face falling
"That WAS the bad news" he spits, looking annoyed as Hall frowns and shrugs
"I guess the good news must be pretty good then chico" he deadpans, Nash nodding
"I beat up SA backstage" he grins, the crowd giving a mixed response, everything from ruckus laughter to massive boos. Scott Hall is just laughing when his face falls and he points to the third row
"Erm Kev.... isn't that SA over there?"
Nash looks out, his eyes becoming wide as the camera clearly shows an unamused Silent Assassin
"Then who was that old fat guy i beat up backstage? i coulda sworn it was SA...."
Triple H leans in, concerned
"Ehhh that was William Shatner" he claims to a roar from the crowd, Shawn Michaels livid
"You beat up the Shat?!?" he goes
"I thought it was SA" claims Big Sexy again as HBK squares up to him
"How could you....? William Shatner has a WAAAAY better fighting technique" laughs Michaels, Nash and Hall cracking up before the duo hold aloft their plaques
"Ladies, gentlemen, ECW Superstars.... thank you for the honor" says Hall simply as the nWo theme hits again and the crowd stand in ovation, Nash and Hall throwing up the Kliq sign again as Triple H and HBK give them the nWo point and we fade away.....
