We enter the darkened arena to be met instantly with volley after volley of red pyro, blasting up from the gigantic metal framework of the WrestleMania 23 stage, the crowd on their feet and roaring as Salivas Ladies and Gentlemen blasts from the speakers. A massive blue explosion covers the stage followed by row after row shooting up from the sides, white blowing throwing through the structure of the set, left to right the blue and white now shoots up, red, white, blue, white, red, blue, volley after volley, round after round going off in a spectacular orgy of noise and color, up into the rafters, now diagonally, another massive blue explosion rocks the arena finally before all we're left with is dozens of blue strobe lights, the noise of the crowd and Saliva plus the white smoke from the pyro that now drifts across the stage and TitanTron
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE WELCOME YOU TO FORD FIELD IN DETROIT MICHIGAN, WE WELCOME YOU THE GREATEST SPORTS-ENTERTAINMENT SPECTACULAR OF ALL TIME, WE WELCOME YOU TO WRESTLEMANIA 23!!!!!" wails the familiar tones of Jim Ross as the camera scans the crowd before heading down to ringside and our Raw announce desk
"Good evening once again folks, i'm Jim Ross alongside Jerry the King Lawler and King.... can ya feel it? can ya feel the emotion, the passion, the tension in the air for what has all the potential to be a history making night in sports-entertainment" asks the pumped up JR in his traditional black Resistol hat and a Tuxedo this evening. The King grins, caught up in his play-by-play colleagues enthusiasm
"JR i can feel it... these fans have come ta see it and tonight, I've just got this feeling that this one is gunna be something special" he squeals, his famous crown on the desk in front of him as Ross nods
"Well as it is at EVERY WrestleMania King, this is the Superbowl, the biggest event in the wrestling calendar and it'll be my pleasure to call some of the amazing match-ups we have scheduled here tonight, just i'm sure as it will be for out SmackDown announce colleagues - Michael Cole and JBL" we hear, a smooth introduction as the camera heads down the line to take in the suited SmackDown duo
"Thanks JR, King and I've gotta agree with Good Ol JR John, this is a night that has the potential to be history in the making" goes Cole, gesturing with both hands at his color colleague
"You're damn right..." beams Layfield "This is the stage where names are made, legends are solidified and events echo through the ages. This IS history, right here and lets get this show on the road" he adds as we take another look at this capacity crowd, the camera picking out Hogan, Nightmare, Hunter and LWO signs
"Well lets not forget our ECW colleagues John, Joey Styles and Tazz" finishes Cole as we move back to the announce desks, Styles just as pumped up as JR was, sat alongside the impassive Tazz behind his orange sunglasses
"Thank you JR, King, Michael Cole and JBL and on behalf of myself and ECW, I'd like to say what an honor it is to be here at WrestleMania, ECWs FIRST Official WrestleMania Tazz" goes Styles, the Brooklyn native nodding
"You know Styles, the ECW Title was defended last year but lemme tell ya, this is the first time that Mania has got truly extreme, the first time ECW has been officially on the card and i'm damn sure that Dreamer and Cactus are gunna step up to the plate and show this event what they've been missing, this is gunna be humungous, a damn rocketbuster Styles" finishes Tazz as we head back to the crowd, fans with a U.S. flag, DX signs and finally a Primal one before the camera moves out and we hear the voices of our SmackDown team once more.....
