When Batista joined WWE at the tail end of 2002, jumping from the sinking FWC ship, few could have predicted his spectacular rise to super-stardom. It was far from plain sailing however for the man who would become "The Animal", initial coupled with the best forgotten Deacon Batista gimmick, he failed to win much praise as part of RTC on SmackDown. however following his jump to Raw he was quickly brought under the mentorship of Ric Flair in Evolution and the rest as they say is history. A Tag, Intercontinental and WWE Championship later, The Animal will be remembered as a great.
